Sarasota Bay

Where I go when I need to hear myself think.

I love taking a quiet walk through Sarasota Bayfront Park to the very end. The bay is calmer than the Gulf, palms soften the edges of the park, and the water seems to hold the city quietly behind it.

There are always little details hiding along the shoreline — sea-grape leaves, shell fragments, sand gathered against the seawall and reflections shifting between the boats. Sometimes gathering a place has nothing to do with what you pick up. Sometimes it is simply what you notice.

What we gathered here

Sea-grape details • sand fragments • shell textures • layered multicolor shimmer inspired by the bay
