Under the palms, where the island meets the pass.

Coquina feels different the moment you arrive. There is shade here, tall palms and trees along the beachside trail, and then the sand opens toward bright Gulf water.

I always notice the contrast — cool shade behind me, bright water ahead, and small shell treasures collecting along the shoreline.
