Manasota Key

Fossil tides & emerald memories.

There is something about Manasota that makes me look down and slow my pace. The tide seems to leave little pieces of another time behind — dark fossils tucked between shells, weathered fragments, soft sand and pieces worn smooth long before I ever found them.

The water here can turn the deepest emerald against the shore, while driftwood and quiet stretches of beach make everything feel a little more untouched. I came looking for small things and somehow left remembering the feeling of the whole place.

What we gathered here

Unique hagstones • fossil fragments • weathered shell pieces • emerald-toned mica details
