About the Artist
Danielle Jo Ferrantino is professional resin artist in Sarasota Florida and the founder of Driftheory- Art Inspired by Nature. Since 2017, she has been telling her story, creating one of a kind Resin jewelry and luxury gallery art using real nature elements like wildflowers, sands and seashells that are specific to locations around the Florida Gulf Coast and beyond.
Rooted in Florida and Montana, Danielle's work captures her own personal stories in nature and hosts immersive workshops, collaborates with luxury resorts, and sells her work nationwide. Her mission is to preserve moments in Resin by location, while inspiring others to 'reconnect with the natural world.'
Where it started :
The story of Driftheory began almost a decade ago when Danielle first casted her first gatherings of local flowers onto fallen tree bark. That creative moment sparked a passion for the artist after her travels abroad connected her to culture and nature. After traveling abroad and almost two years on the road, Danielle returned home from Indonesia to Florida with a renewed mission and purpose : to help others preserve and appreciate the moments that matter the most - the things money cant buy, nature.
Over time, she began to gather other found materials to preserve all inspired by her bicycle rides to the beach, walks in the park and meditations in different locations, creating beautiful moments along the way that she would remember and hold on to, something that artist said "would last forever in Resin."
Driftheory became her way of sharing her story of connection and inviting others to gather their own moments to preserve for a lifetime.
Danielle is passionate to share her story and appreciates her accomplishments along the timeline of her life : in humble, simple beginnings.
